Corriethread Yarn
Corriethread is a blend of 85% natural ecru Corriedale wool and 15% reclaimed yarn waste in a versatile DK weight.
We collect all of our dyed yarn waste from the factory, shred it and blend it with natural ecru wool. This results in a steely grey yarn with distinctive darker flecks for a textured tweed-like appearance. And whilst this medium-tone base proved unsuitable for our hand dyers, it crafts beautiful handknit homewares, garments and accessories.
Repurposing leftover threads and fibres from the spinning process closes the loop in our production and creates value from what could be considered waste. Available in limited quantities. Please ensure that you have enough yarn to complete your project, to avoid disappointment.
